LEADERSHIP LION

3 years - 4 years of age

 

The LEADERSHIP LION curriculum nurtures your child's independance and encourages a positive attitude toward physical exercise through basic martial arts teachniques and fitness concepts. Children develop balance, coordination, body awareness and motor skills which help emphasize flexibility, confidence and emotional well being.

 

Using focused listening and story telling opportunities, THE REMARKABLES teach life lessons that develop skills such as empathy, leadership and social abilities:

 

LEADERSHIP LION - COURAGE: Teaches children how to find courage in themselves.

 

BLACK BELT BABOON - POWER: Teaches children how to control their inner power to make good choices.

 

KICKING KOALA - DETERMINATION: Will teach children the importance of achieving their goals and not giving up.

 

BLOCKING BEAR - FOCUS: Keeps children focused on an activity so that they can achieve their goal.

 

BOBBING BOBCAT - DISCIPLINE: Teaches discipline to children in order to stop teasing and bullying.

 

LEFTY LEMUR - PERSEVERANCE: Helps children to understand that everyone experiences life differently, but at the end of the day to never give up on a task. Give it a go!

 

LEADERSHIP LIONESS - RESPECT: Teaches children to have respect for all people including parents, instructors, family and friends.

 

To encourage independance and to help prepare children for pre school and kindergarten, children participate in this program on their own for the majority of the lesson. Parents join in for the last 15 minutes of class to help build upon the skills and concepts learnt in class.
